Ulster Stores raises £10,000 for Cancer Fund for Children
Supporting our local community
Here at Ulster Stores, we have partnered with Children’s cancer charity ‘Cancer Fund for Children’ in order to reach a fundraising target of £10,000 . Thanks to the generosity of colleagues across the business and the local Causeway community we have raised this magnificent total– three months ahead of schedule.
We chose Cancer Fund for Children as our charity partner of the year. The amount has been raised through a variety of fundraising endeavours, with great effort from the teams here in Coleraine at Ulster Stores’ Support Centre and Moores, alongside colleagues in Portrush at The White House.
Commenting on the partnership, local retailer Neville Moore, Managing Director, said: “At Moores and The White House we are committed to supporting our local community. Our partnership allows us to play a part in helping support the amazing work Cancer Fund for Children does, ensuring that young people don’t have to face cancer alone. We would like to thank all our customers for their support and generosity.”
Cancer Fund for Children’s Regional Fundraiser Suzanne O’Loughlin added: “Cancer Fund for Children are delighted to be chosen by Ulster Stores Limited as their charity partner this year. Huge congratulations to everyone at Ulster Stores for raising such a phenomenal amount of money and reaching their £10,000 target with three months still to go. The amount raised is simply incredible and will make a huge difference to local families affected by cancer. This is enough to send 10 families for a short break to our therapeutic Centre Daisy Lodge in Newcastle Co. Down.”
From running marathons, in store events, sponsored walks and so much more the team at Ulster Stores have really come together and worked hard to help raise money for this local charity. Cancer Fund for Children are currently supporting 32 families in the Causeway and Coleraine areas. Ulster Stores are continuing their fundraising efforts for the rest of this year with the next event a quiz in Coleraine Rugby Club, with some great prizes from Moores available.”
